Centova Cast GeoIP Country Blocking

Centova Cast GeoIP Restriction for SHOUTcast & Icecast

Streaming Pulse Exclusive: Centova Cast GeoIP Country Blocking for SHOUTcast & Icecast

Streaming Pulse now offers an exclusive Centova Cast GeoIP Country Blocking feature, fully integrated into Centova Cast. With Centova Cast GeoIP restrictions, broadcasters can manage access to their SHOUTcast and Icecast streams by geographic location, ensuring licensing compliance and precise audience targeting.

How It Works

The system automatically checks each listener’s IP address against the MaxMind GeoIP2 Precision Country database to determine their country or region. Based on your selected configuration, access is either granted or denied before the stream is delivered.
IP Geolocation Lookup: Utilizes highly accurate IP-to-location data from the GeoIP2 Precision Country database to identify the listener’s country.
Real-Time Filtering: Enforces access rules instantly, ensuring only approved listeners can connect.

Configuration Modes
By default, all countries are allowed to access your stream.

Allowlist Mode (Default-Deny):
Blocks all countries except those you explicitly approve. Perfect for broadcasters with country-specific licensing or regional restrictions.

Denylist Mode (Default-Allow):
Allows all countries except those you explicitly block. Ideal for restricting access from unwanted regions while keeping your stream widely available.
